Ads.txt Implementation Truvid

Ads.txt Implementation Truvid

:point_right: Overview

Ads.txt is an IAB-approved text file that aims to prevent unauthorized inventory sales.

In lay man terms, it’s a simple and flexible method that publishers can use to publicly declare the companies they authorize to sell their digital inventory.

:bulb: How does it work?

Publishers drop a text file on their web servers that lists all the companies that are authorized to sell their own inventory.

Similarly, programmatic platforms also integrate ads.txt files to confirm which publishers’ inventory they are authorized to sell.

Simply put – this allows for both buyers and sellers to act transparently and check the validity of each other’s activities. Each end knows and can confirm that they are indeed working together.
